Built because I was
tired of spreadsheets

SwiftSplit started as a weekend project to solve a real problem of splitting rent, groceries, and dinner with roommates without losing track of who owes what. It grew into something I'm proud of.

The problem with manual splitting

Like everyone else, I had a spreadsheet. It lasted about two months before it became a source of arguments rather than a solution to them. Mainly issues about forgetting to log a transactions or forgetting to remove ones that weren't applicable, someone else used a different exchange rate, and suddenly something that was supposed to simplify splitting expenses became more of a harm than a help.

Existing apps either required everyone to manually enter every expense, or had too many limitations. We wanted something that just worked automatically, and easily.

SwiftSplit was the answer. Connect your bank once, set your rules, and never think about it again.

What SwiftSplit stands for

Three principles that guide every decision we make.

Privacy first

Your financial data is yours. We use Plaid's read-only connection, never store credentials, and never sell your data to anyone.

Radically simple

Powerful features shouldn't require a manual. SwiftSplit is designed to be intuitive enough to set up in under 5 minutes.

Fair & transparent

No dark patterns, no hidden fees. Our pricing is clear and our development is visible and accountable.

Your security is non-negotiable

SwiftSplit uses Plaid's OAuth-based bank connection — we never see your login credentials. All communication is encrypted using TLS 1.2, and transaction data is stored with AES-256 encryption at rest. We undergo regular security reviews and will always be transparent about how your data is handled.
